if by abduction, this is a blunt violation of basic law, hk people have every rights protesting and demanding answers.
if by "special means" as global times intimated ( blackmailing using li's relatives or financial interests in mainland), HK people still should protest, because in the end it's still violating basic law, Hk residents have free speech rules like in the west. but technical,y again as intimated by global times, li might be " voluntarily" coming back to mainland and likely "compromised" on his own "free" will.
