as we can see peoples in developed countries are religious enough and hold church's teachings above everything. But they are also accommodative enough to let other people do their things - they learned their lessons from Galileo and many other instances.
Getting the right way to "认知世界" is no easy task. It is a learning process itself. Chinese would often go back to the old value system to find answers to things, even when it failed to provide a sound one. Confucianism denifitely limited people's creativity as it teached people to revere the old things/ways. And unfortunatly a large amount of chinese people still believe so. Articles worwhipping old ways of doing things are abundant and there is no shortage of admirers neither.
Confucianism is not totally wrong but“打倒孔家店” is absolutely right in that Confucianism limited people 's mind.
