the k thing. Most people have salary jobs here getting pay in terms of how many k per year. The question is what is this k? Especially for those in software business, if k=1000, then 512k byte of cache should be 512,000 byte instead of 524,299 byte. Or we should get $102400 a year rather then $100000. I have never seen that extra $2400, but still assume 1k byte = 1024 byte :(
