In my humble opinion, “有美国特色的”, does not mean that it is wrong.

America has a lot of bad things and a lot of good things. Just look that Xiao and Fang both were educated from the States. (Beg your pardon, don’t mean to put their names in the corresponding order. -:) )

I believe, even many great Chinese personalities before us, were having 美国特色.
