Who has experience in travel insurance

I am in Mexico now and fractured my right ankle (both Tibia and Fibula). The ambulance cost me $800 and the emergency room cost me $600 for temporally stabilization. I will fly back tomorrow and will need to have surgery to fix it.

I bought travel insurance. Will it cover the cost? How to claim it?
